Q: What types of massage do you offer?
A: I offer a variety of massage styles including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Hot Stone Therapy. Each session is fully customized based on your needs and how you’re feeling that day.
Q: How can I book a massage session?
A: You can schedule anytime using the online booking system right here on my website — it’s quick and easy!
Q: What are your hours?
A: Mellow Moon Massage Therapy is open Monday through Friday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?

Pricing & Payments
Q: What are your rates?
A: My rates are based on session length. You can view all current pricing on the Services & Rates page.
Q: Do you offer gift cards?
A: Yes! I offer physical gift cards that can be purchased in person at my office. If you can’t make it in, I’m happy to mail one to you — just reach out and I’ll take care of it.
I don’t currently offer digital gift cards through the website, but many clients will simply let their recipient know they have credit with me. Easy and meaningful either way.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: I accept cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments. Payment is due at the time of your appointment.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: I don’t accept insurance directly, but I can provide a receipt if you’d like to submit for possible reimbursement.
Policies & Procedures
Q: What should I expect at my first appointment?
A: You’ll fill out a short intake form, and we’ll have a quick consultation to talk about your goals, areas of concern, and anything else you’d like me to know. From there, your session is completely personalized to what your body needs most.
Q: What’s your policy on gift card or package expiration?
A: Gift cards and packages are valid for five years from the purchase date, per Michigan law. I do recommend using them within one year to get the most out of current rates and services. After one year, they still retain their original value, but any price differences at the time of redemption will apply.
Q: Can I use my gift card or package after it expires?
A: Unfortunately, they can’t be used past the expiration date. I always encourage clients to schedule ahead so they have plenty of time to use their sessions.
During Your Session
Q: What should I wear?
A: Whatever you’re comfortable with. You’ll be properly draped at all times for your privacy and comfort.
Q: Is it okay to talk during the massage?
A: Absolutely. Some clients like to chat, and others prefer quiet — there’s no right or wrong. Just let me know what you prefer.
Q: What if I feel discomfort or have special needs?
A: Please speak up anytime during your session — your comfort and safety are always the priority.
After Your Session
Q: What should I do afterward?
A: Staying hydrated is a great idea. It’s also best to take it easy and allow your body to fully absorb the benefits of the session.
Q: How often should I get a massage?
A: That depends on your needs and goals. Many clients find that bi-weekly or monthly sessions help maintain physical and emotional wellness.
